The Government of Kiribati has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the South Tarawa Sanitation Project - ID-E0240, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) includes a full-time Project Manager to be initially based at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy, MISE in Kiribati. The purpose of the position is to ensure the South Tarawa Sanitation Project is implemented in accordance with the Financing Agreement and relevant legislation and to provide advice and hands on support to Technical Officers within the PMU, MISE, PUB and other stakeholders.
The expected duration of the consulting assignment is full time for two (2) years with probationary period of six (6) months and possibility of extension for another year, subject to annual performance review, ongoing requirements and funds availability.

On behalf of MISE, The KFSU now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services (attach curriculum vitae with description of experience in similar assignments, similar conditions, etc.). Firms’ staff may express interest through the employing firm for the assignment and, under such situation, only the experiences and qualifications of individuals shall be considered in the selection process.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, revised November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
