REQUEST FOR BIDS

FOR

SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF SCIENCE EQUIPMENT

FOR FIFTY-SIX (56) SECONDARY SCHOOLS

The Government of Jamaica has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Jamaica Education Project (JEP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for the Supply and Delivery of Science Equipment for Fifty-Six (56) Secondary Schools.

The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information (MoESYI) now invites eligible bidders to submit bids for the Supply and Delivery of Science Equipment for Fifty-Six (56) Secondary Schools. Details of the items to be procured (description and quantities), names and locations of the fifty-six (56) schools are provided in Section VII of the bidding document.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” September 2023 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

The attention of interested Bidders is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.15, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Availability of Documents

The bidding document will be available for download as of July 22, 2025, on the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement website at www.gojep.gov.jm.

Submission Date & Time

Bids must be submitted online via www.gojep.gov.jm on or before September 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (Jamaica time)

To participate in this opportunity, prospective bidders must first be registered on the Government’s Electronic Procurement System at www.gojep.gov.jm.
