Re: Fire Safety Engineering Services for Project A: Courtyard & Accessibility Works at Kilkenny Castle, The Parade, Kilkenny City

As part of the refurbishment of Kilkenny Castle the Office of Public Works requires the services of a Fire Safety Consultant.

Full details are included with the enclosed tender documentation.

Note- This tender is for Project A only. Project B (as detailed in the Definitive Project Brief) does not form part of this tender.

You are hereby invited to prepare and submit a Tender for the above Contract complying with the enclosed Instructions to Tenderers (ITT). Your submittal should include the Form of Tender, Price breakdown, Quality submittal documentation (as detailed on Page 36 of ITT) and SAQ declaration & documentation.

Please be advised of the following:

Receipt of Tenders:

The Closing Date for receipt of Tenders is 12:00 (midday), Friday 9thJune 2023.

The completed e- Form of Tender and all accompanying e-documentation must be returned using e-tenders system.

The e-package should be marked ‘Tender for Provision of Fire Safety Engineering Services for Project A, Kilkenny Castle.

Tenders received after the indicated closing date/time will not be opened and will be rejected.

Any/all queries arising from your review of the Tender Documents will be formally recorded and referred to as RFI’s. This information being provided to all potential bidders at the same time. The last date queries will be accepted is 12 noon, 2ndJune 2023.

Site Visit: A site visit will be held on Tuesday 23rd May at 12 noon. Tenderers will need to confirm their attendance in advance by contacting: christopher.walsh@opw.ie (mailto:christopher.walsh@opw.ie)

Tender Price:

The Tender Price must be indicated in writing on the Form of Tender & Schedule. This fixed price lump sum is excluding all VAT.

Insurance Cover:

All Insurance Covers indicated will be required. These are clearly documented in the Form of Tender & Schedule.

Award Criteria:

As instructed in the Instruction to Tenderers, this Tender will be awarded on the basis of M.E.A.T.

A current Tax Clearance Certificate or equivalent will be required.

The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland shall not be bound to accept the lowest or any Tender.
