SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

REQUEST FOR BIDS

• The Government of Kenya (GoK) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Health Emergency Preparedness Response and Resilience (HEPRR) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for

2. The Kenya Biovax Institute Limited now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the above-mentioned tender

3. Bidding will be conducted through open competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published July 2016 and Revised Fourth Edition, November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Kenya Biovax Institute Limited procurement@biovax.go.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours East African Time (EAT) from Monday to Friday excluding lunch hour (1300 to 1400hours (EAT) and public holidays.at the address given below

5. A complete set of the bidding document can be downloaded free of charge from www.biovax.go.ke/tenders or can be obtained at the address given below

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1st April 2026 at 1030hrs hours East African Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 1st April 2026 at 1030hrs hours East African Time.

7. All bids MUST be accompanied with a bid security in form of a Bank Guarantee or a Bank Draft issued by a reputable bank located in Kenya and regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya or a Bid Bond issued by an Insurance Company regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
