Project Implementation period: 28 November 2025 – 30 August 2030
Duration of working contract: Initial part-time input is required for six (6) months, after which the full-time contract is for eighteen (18) months, extendable annually upon mutual understanding and performance up to duration of project (5 years). Six (6) months’ probation period applies.
Expected Start date: February 2026
Through World Bank financing, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MoFT) will implement the Accelerating Trade Facilitation in the Pacific (ATFP) project in the Solomon Islands, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to employ a Financial Management Assistant (FMA) to be based at the MOFT/CED’s Project Management Unit (PMU).
The PA will support the Project Manager in the project’s financial management, reporting, and compliance with the project legal agreement, the SIG/MoFT financial regulations and policies, and the World Bank General Conditions.
The MoFT will provide to the designated candidate all materials related to the Project, and will provide the office space, including office furniture, access to IT equipment, stationery, internet, communications, and related utilities. The successful candidate is fully responsible for the cost of local transportation (to/from the office).

The MoFT now invite individuals to indicate their interest to be considered for the role. Interested individuals should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the role. The shortlisting will be based on the following criteria:
Mandatory criteria: Education and Experience: (i) A bachelor’s degree in procurement, business administration, economics, engineering, law, social sciences, or a related field; or (ii)_diploma in a relevant field with at least six years of directly relevant experience in SIG or donor-funded procurement; or (iii) Year 12 high school certificate with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in procurement or contract management; and (iv) a minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in procurement for the Solomon Islands Government or donor-funded projects.
