Assignment Title: Consultancy to Conduct Training in
Agricultural Experimental designs, data management, and advanced statistical analysis for CCARDESA

The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the facilitation of the implementation of the Food Systems Resilience Project (FSRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to engage an individual consultant to provide regional training in agricultural experimental designs, data management, and advanced statistical analysis for Scientists in the SADC Region.
The overall objective of this consultancy is to enhance participants’ technical capacity in experimental designs, data management and advanced statistical analysis using modern analytical tools and techniques.
In undertaking the assignment, the tasks will include, but not limited to the following:
The consultant is expected to undertake the assignment within 11 working days spread over a period of 40 calendar days. The actual training is scheduled for the second week of December 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in offering training in experimental designs, data management and advanced statistical analysis;. |

Specific Experience: |
Minimum 7 years’ experience working with and providing training in different statistical packages, including R, GenStat, SAS, Python and Stata. |

Language Requirements |
Must be fluent in written and spoken English language. Knowledge of either French or Portuguese or both will be an added advantage |

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
