The Kyrgyz Republic has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 40 million US$ equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Electricity Market Interconnectivity and Trade Project (REMIT), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The OJSC National Grid of Kyrgyzstan will be responsible for the implementation of the project.
The project in Kyrgyz Republic will include the following major procurement packages:
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2025) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, on the World Bank’s external website and www.nesk.kg.

Uzbekistan
The Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for financing in the amount of US$ forty million (40,000,000) equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Electricity Market Interconnectivity and Trade – Central Asia (REMIT) project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services, and consulting services to be procured under this project. The Joint Stock Company “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan” (JSC “NEGU”) will be responsible for the implementation of the project.
The project in Uzbekistan will include the following major procurements under the current Phase:
1. RFB/REMIT/2025: The project comprises of the construction of 220 kV transmission lines and the extension of existing substations by 220 kV line bays. The project is divided in two lots:
Lot 1: Construction of 220 kV Transmission Lines (RFB/REMIT/2025-01);
Lot 2: Extension works at existing Substations (RFB/REMIT/2025-02).

2. UZ-CS-01: Consultancy Services for design review and supervision including environmental and social safeguards monitoring
