Request for Expressions of Interest

The ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to payments under the contract for “Financial Audit Services for Takaful and Karama Cash Transfer Expansion and Systems Building Project”. The project objective is to increase coverage and effectiveness of the Takaful and Karama Cash Transfer program and enhance access of the poor and vulnerable to economic inclusion opportunities. The intended financial audit services will be conducted for the project over three years.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity (MoSS) now invites eligible audit firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested audit firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments with international donors, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc). The invited audit firms should also provide evidence that over the last ten years they have carried out at least two satisfactorily similar assignments each worth not less than US$300,000,000.

An audit firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, (January 2011, revised July 2014).

Interested audit firms may obtain further information at the address below from 09:00 to 15:00 local time from Sunday through Thursday.

Expressions of interest must be delivered no later than 15:00 local time on August 1st, 2024. With clearly marked communication carrying: “Financial Audit Services for Takaful and Karama Cash Transfer Expansion and Systems Building Project”.
