Background:
The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) has received grant financing from the World Bank International Development Agency (IDA) for the implementation of the Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program – Second Phase for Economic Resilience (PROPER).
FFA is an intergovernmental regional agency established to facilitate regional cooperation and coordination on fisheries policies between its member states in order to achieve conservation and optimum utilisation of living marine resources for the benefit of the people of the region.
FFA is seeking expression of interests (EOI) for the position of a Communications Officer. The Communications Officer will be part of the FFA Communications Team, based in Honiara.
The Communications Officer will be engaged through an Individual Consultant Contract for national consultants from within Solomon Islands. The successful candidate will report to the Communications Manager and contribute to the delivery of the communication strategy aligned with FFA’s organisational priorities.
She/He will also assist in the delivery of activities that promote FFA’s work and strengthen engagement with members, partners and stakeholders in the region and at the international level.
Remuneration:
The minimum remuneration for the role is SBD147,932 per annum (before tax), plus housing, leave passage, education, reasonable medical and insurance coverage.
