  • The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the cost of the Africa CDC Regional Investment Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of Furniture and electro-mechanical equipment for 13 regional maintenance workshop
  • The Ethiopian Public Health Institute now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Furniture and Electro-mechanical Equipment for 13 regional maintenance workshop as indicated below

3. Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First published - July 2016 and revised Fifth Edition – September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bidders required meeting the following minimum qualification criteria:

  • The Bidder should submit audited financial statements for the last three years) to demonstrate Annual Turnover of at least two times the overall total bid price for two of the last four years
  • The bidder must have been in the business of supplying of furniture and Electro-mechanical Equipment for the last five years, the bidder must have supplied at least two verifiable successful contracts for furniture and Electro-mechanical Equipment that are similar in size and nature to this bid for the last five years for the respective items. And also the equipment should be operational for the last three year.
  • The Bidder should demonstrate Annual Turnover of two times the amount of the bid price quoted by the bidder.
  • Written Power of Attorney for the signatory of the Bid
  • Copies of original documents defining the constitution or legal status, place of registration and principal place of business

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Public Health Institute and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:30AM to 5:30PM from Monday to Friday at the address given below

5. The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee[1] of ETB 400 (Birr Four Hundred). The method of payment will be in cash.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before the May 9, 2024, up to 10:00 AM. starting from the date of this notice announced on Ethiopian herald paper news. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at the May 9, 2024 at 10:30 AM

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” ETB 150,000.00 (Ethiopian Birr one hundred Fifty Thousand) or freely convertible currency.

8. “Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”[
