The United Public of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Equipments and Machines - for Leather Processing (Supply, Installation, and Commission) for the Center of Excellence in Leather Processing and Allied Technology (CELPAT) at Dar es salaam Institute of Technology Mwanza Campus in Mwanza Region.

1. The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to Supply Equipments and Machines - for Leather Processing (Supply, Installation, and Commission) Lot 1, 2 and 3 for the Center of Excellence in Leather Processing and Allied Technology (CELPAT) at Dar es salaam Institute of Technology Mwanza Campus in Mwanza Region.

2. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB), and is open to all eligible Bidders, through TANePS.

3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information in office of the Principal of Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), P. O. Box 2958 Dar Es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania during office hours i.e. from 0900 to 1500 hours at the address given below.

4. The Bidding Document in English is available online on TANePS - https://www.taneps.go.tz. Bidders will be required to register on the TANePS to able to participate in this bidding process. All requests for clarification should be sent through TANePS and the Employer will send Responses to Clarifications. The bidders would be responsible for ensuring that any addenda available on the website is also downloaded and incorporated.

5. Bids must be submitted through TANePS on or before 20th June 2023 at 10.00 hrs. The Employer shall not be held liable for any delays due to system failure beyond its control. Even though the system will attempt to notify the bidders of any bid updates, the Employer shall not be liable for any information not received by the bidder. It is the bidders’ responsibility to verify the website for the latest information related to this bid.

6. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of Unconditional Bank Guarantee amounting to Tanzanian Shillings Sixty Million (TZS 60,000,000.00) in Favor of Principal, Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) P. O. Box 2958 Dar Es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania. Bidders have to submit a scanned copy of the Bid Security on the TANePS as per the format provided in the Bidding Documents. The Original copy of the Bid Security must be submitted on or before the date of 20th June 2023 to the office of the Principal, Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) P. O. Box 2958 Dar Es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania., In case the original copy of the Bid Security is not submitted by bidder at the date and time specified, the bid will not be considered
