  • The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the cost of the Africa CDC Regional Investment Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of Laboratory and Office furniture’s for the newly built Regional Laboratories.
  • The Ethiopian Public Health Institute now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Laboratory and Office Furniture for the newly built Regional Laboratories as indicated below

3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Public Health Institute and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:30AM to 5:30PM from Monday to Friday at the address given below

5. The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 400 (Birr Four Hundred). The method of payment will be in cash to the Ethiopian Public Health Institute.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before June 28, 2023, on 2:00 PM. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on June 28, 2023, on 2:30 PM

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 200,000.00 (Ethiopian Birr Two hundred Thousand) for LOT 1, ETB 150,000.00 (Ethiopian Birr One Hundred Fifty Thousand) for LOT 2 ETB 200,000.00 (Ethiopian Birr Two hundred Thousand) for LOT 3, ETB 150,000.00 (Ethiopian Birr One Hundred Fifty Thousand) for LOT 4 or the equivalent in freely convertible Currency in the form of Bank Guarantee or CPO

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
