• The National Institute of Transport, through the Government of Tanzania, has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East Africa Skill for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP). It intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Testing and Training of Training (Flight) Simulators for the Centre of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations.
• The National Institute of Transport now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Testing and Training of Training Simulators for the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations at the National Institute of Transport, Ubungo-Mabibo, Dares Salaam, within the delivery period of 150-180 days.
• Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” 1st July 2016 revised November 2017 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the National Institute of Transport, P. O. Box 705, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area, in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 0900 to 1600, Monday to Friday except for public holidays at the address given below.
• The Bidding Document is available online on TANePS- https://www.taneps.go.tz. Bidders will be required to register on the TANePS to participate in this bidding process. All request for clarification should be sent through TANePS and the Employer will send Responses to Clarifications, Minutes of Pre-Bid Meeting and Amendments through TANePS - https://www.taneps.go.tz and email for notification will automatically be sent to those bidders who have started working on this bid. The bidders would be responsible for ensuring that any addenda available on the website is also downloaded and incorporated.

Bids must be submitted through TANePS - www.taneps.go.tz on or before 12th June, 2023 at 11.00 hrs and bids will be opened TANePS on the 12th June, 2023 at 11:00 hours. The TANePS would not allow any late submission of bids.

• The Employer shall not be held liable for any delays due to system failure beyond its control. Even though the system will attempt to notify the bidders of any bid updates, the Employer shall not be liable for any information not received by the bidder. The bidders are responsible for verifying the website for the latest information related to this bid.
• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting to TZS.23.400,000/=

The Bidders have to submit a scanned copy of the Bid Security on the TANePS as per the format provided in the Bidding Documents. The Original copy of the Bid Security must be submitted on or before 09th June, 2023 to address provided below. In case the original copy of the Bid Security is not submitted by bidder at the date and time specified, the bid will not be considered.
