The Govt. of India is in the process to receive a loan financing for an amount of US$ 211 mn equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the West Bengal Accelerated Development of Minor Irrigation Project (Phase – II) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for payments towards procurement of goods, works, related services both consulting and non-consulting services under this project.

The project will include the following components

• Component A - Strengthening Community-based Institution.
• Component B – Irrigation System Development.
• Component C – Agriculture Support Services (ASS)
• Component D- Project Management.

Procurement of goods, works and services under this project, financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016, Revised Nov 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the said Regulations.

The following high value activities are expected in this project: Solar based pumps for irrigation.

Specific procurement notices for all activities will be published in project website, www.wbadmip.org and for all high value activities will be announced as they become available, in UN Development Business and World Bank external website along with client website, www.wbadmip.org.
