• The Government of Guyana (GOG) has received funding through payments earned for climate services under its agreement with the Government of Norway and intends to use part of the funds to execute the Coastal Adaptation and Resilience (CARes) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Lot 1-Drainage Intervention - Rehabilitation of Sluices, Region No. 6

• The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Lot 1-Drainage Intervention - Rehabilitation of Sluices, Region No. 6

• Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• A complete set of bidding documents on flash Drive (in PDF) in English may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of G$5,000 by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given below. The Commencement date for the inspection/acquisition of bidding documents is September 2, 2025. Upon request, local prospective bidders will be sent a copy of the bidding documents free of cost via email.

• Lot 1(A)-Moleson Creek 1st Sluice-Three Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$3,800,000) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
• Lot 1 (B)-Moleson Creek 2nd Sluice-One Million, Nine Hundred Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$1,900,000) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
• Lot 1(C)-Crabwood Creek 1st Sluice-One Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$1,800,000) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
• Lot 1(D)-Crabwood Creek 2nd Sluice-Three Million, Two Hundred Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$3,200,000) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
• Lot 1(E)-Crabwood Creek 3rd Sluice-Two Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$3,800,000) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
• All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.

• Site visit and pre-proposal conference will commence on September 12, 2025 commencing at Moleson Creek Entrance, 13:00 hrs. The cost of the visit for the contractor’s personnel shall be the responsibility of the contractor.

• Bids must be valid during 180 days of the date of bid opening.

• All bidders must place their bids together with the bid securities before 9:00 hours on Thursday September 25, 2025 at 9:00am in the tender box of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board and addressed to the Chairman, NPTAB, Ministry of Finance, Main and Urquhart Streets, Georgetown. The submission of all bids must be in accordance with the instructions given in the Instructions to Bidders (ITB) of the Bidding Documents. Bids shall clearly marked “Lot 1-Drainage Intervention - Rehabilitation of Sluices, Region No. 6” on the inner and outer envelopes.
