Guyana COVID-19 Emergency Response Project (P175268)

Supply and Delivery of Supply and Delivery of Medical Equipment Lot 1 to 6

• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared

in World Bank Website on May 13, 2021

• The Co-Operative Republic of Guyana has received financing in the amount of US$7.5 Million dollars equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Guyana Covid-19 Emergency Response Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
• The Guyana Covid-19 Emergency Response Project of the Ministry of Health- now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Medical Equipment Lot 1 to 6.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the One-Envelope Bidding Process for Goods in accordance with the World Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods World Bank and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Policies.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Ministry of Health, Guyana Covid-19 Emergency Response Project at email GuyCovid.erp.dp@gmail.com and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address one (1) given below from Mondays to Fridays between 9:00hrs to 14:30 hrs.

6. Qualifications requirements include:

• Valid Business Registration, NIS and GRA Compliances (where applicable),
• At least two (2) supply contract of similar nature (Complexity or Value)
• Must demonstrate ability to provide after sale and maintenance.

A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically “shall not”, be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents (Electronic Copy) in English may be obtained by interested bidders on the submission of a written request to GuyCovid.erp.dp@gmail.com after which a copy of the Bidding Documents will be sent by email.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address two (2) below at or before 9:00 hrs on Thursday 30th November 2023. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address two (2) below after 9:00 hrs on Thursday 30th November 2023. All bids must be accompanied by Bid Security of GYD $300,000.00 Guyana Dollars for each Lot or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
