The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Finance (MoF), has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopia Digital ID for Inclusion and Services Project. National ID Program, the ultimate project implementer intends to apply part of the proceeds for selecting of individual consultants.

The National ID Program is looking for Executive Assistant with entitled role and capacity of Senior Program Coordinator who will play a crucial role in high-level administrative and organizational support, acting as a crucial link between the Executive Director and other staff, stakeholders, and external parties.

Key responsibilities include managing the director"s calendar, coordinating travel and meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining confidentiality. The EA also plays a vital role in information management, communication, and ensuring the smooth operation of the executive"s office.

  • Scope of Services, Tasks, and Expected Deliverable

Specific tasks to be carried out by the Executive Assistant (EA) include but are not limited to the following components:

  • Provide full administrative assistance to the Executive Director.,
  • Make travel arrangements for the Director,
  • Maintains log of Director’s mileage,
  • Develop annual schedule in cooperation with the Director and maintain the calendar,
  • Preparing documents, and file accordingly,
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all office operations,
  • Assist in prioritizing activities
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills/Qualifications

The qualification and experience required for applicant who would like to apply for the service should possess the following minimum criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Administration or in related field or equivalent,
  • Minimum 12 years of similar experiences,
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion,
  • Effectively communicate with executives, customers and employees,
  • High level of organizational, time management and customer relations skills,
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Duration of Services:

The consultant will be hired full time initially for the contract period of twelve (12) months with a possibility for extension based on performance and business needs.

The selection method is based on para 7.36 and 7.37 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulation.

The attention of interested individual is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”) revised November 2017, August 2018,2023, and February 2025 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

An individual will be selected in accordance with the Selection of Individual Consultant (Section V) method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
