• The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Procurement of Three units of Liquid Nitrogen Plants
• The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Three units of Liquid Nitrogen Plants to be delivered at Wolaita Sodo (SNNP Region), Nekemete (Oromia Region) and Bahirdar (Amhara Region).
• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive bidding procedure using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers: Procurement of Works under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated July 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture, Procurement Directorate and inspect the bidding documents during office hours at the address below during office hours: from 09:00 A.M to 12:30 A.M hours and from 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M hours, Mondays to Thursdays and 09:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M and 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M hours on Fridays at the addresses given below..
• The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders up on payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 400.00 (Four Hundred Birr) or its equivalent amount in freely convertible currencies. The method of payment will be in cash or can directly deposit to the MoA’s account No. 1000009144009. Bidders’ who wish to have the bid document delivered to their address by a courier service pay an additional amount of ETB 1000.00 or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency for courier service charge or send a prepaid courier service coupon to the purchaser address below. However, the purchaser shall not be responsible for a loss or delay in the delivery of the mail and shall not entertain requests for extension on account of such delays.
• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before July 28, 2023 at 14:00PM local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on July 28, 2023 at 14:30PM local time.
• All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting Birr 500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Birr) or its’ equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document
