This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by the Municipality of the County of Annapolis for the submission of qualified bids related to Tier 3 IT services and IT Leadership
Development.
This requirement is for an experienced IT professional with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Tier 3 IT services, delivering IT projects, and developing junior to mid-level IT
staff.
Tier 3 Services:
• Guidance on future infrastructure needs and procurement strategies
• Support the move away from on-premises server infrastructure for active directory to Azure
• Support network infrastructure upgrades
• Support laptop Intune migration
• Migrating staff to OneDrive
• Phishing simulation configuration assistance
• Upgrade to building security software
• Upgrade monitoring on-site and cloud backups
• Server configuration and management guidance
• Guidance on critical or emergency situations
Leadership Development:
• Identify technical knowledge gaps and develop a plan for resolution. Work with Deputy CAO to develop ongoing performance metrics. Develop and support plan for IT leadership
development.
• Provide opportunities for knowledge transfer, skills building, and long-term leader readiness.
• Identify strategic opportunities for the department.
• Support staff in developing policies and procedures.
Project Management:
Work may include carrying out project initiation (production of project charters and stakeholder registers), planning (production of project management plans), executing (ensuring work is
issued and being acted upon), monitoring & controlling (keeping the project on track and making plan adjustments and change requests as required) and closing (orderly shutdown of contracts,
recording of lessons learned, possibly reviewing related future phases).
