IH intends to relocate the existing Home Health Program currently operating at CMH Hospital to the vacant lower level of the new UPCC building at 47 Cameron Street. This project involves
renovation of the lower level to accommodate clinical, administrative, and support spaces required for program operations. The renovated area will include an entry and check-in area, ambulatory
nursing clinic space, treatment rooms, and supporting administrative and staff areas.
Following are some of the Home Health Needs:
(a) Ample circulation is required for Waiting Area due to significant number of patients using mobility devices.
(b) A route from a secondary egress point to Exam Rooms is required for movement of stretchers and other
equipment requiring repair.
(c) A secure Medication Room is required.
(d) Lockers are required for all who are desk-sharing.
(e) An Office near the Entry is required for intake activities.
(f) Treatment spaces should consider ability to accommodate bariatric patients in the future.
(g) File Area in Reception to move to back of house, where it is to be combined with the Business Centre and co-located with administrative workstations.
(h) One Treatment Room should have secondary egress.
(i) Reception Area requires an administrative workstation function as well, one front-facing workstation and the other co-located but without being client-facing.
Estimated Construction Budget is: $2,700,000.00
