British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“BC Hydro”) invites Proposals for the following:
RFP Number: 23395
RFP Title: Supply and Install of High-Voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
BC Hydro is seeking Proposals to meet its ongoing requirements for the supply and installation of 253 kV SF6 and 72.5 kV dry‑air high‑voltage gas‑insulated switchgear (GIS) in a ring configuration, as well as any other GIS configurations at rated voltages or technologies specified by BC Hydro.

The scope includes comprehensive services such as design, manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), delivery to BC Hydro’s Main Distribution Centre or project site, commissioning, documentation, training, and baseline technical support. Optional services include extended technical support, supplemental training, extended warranties, spare parts recommendations and supply, and the ability to reserve production slots to mitigate supply‑chain risks.

The Contract is expected to be for an initial term of 5 years, which may be extended for up to 10 years through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of 15 years.
