Description

The City of Chilliwack is proceeding with a detailed design to rebuild Main Street from Yale Road to Wellington Avenue.

The rebuild will consist of removal or decommissioning of all existing City owned utilities of water, sanitary and storm sewers systems, street lighting systems and three traffic signals systems which are at end of life. Construction will include but not be limited to complete rebuilds of three signalized intersections along the corridor, concrete curb and gutter; concrete sidewalk including stamped concrete boulevard; new road structure including base, subbase, asphalt paving works, road markings and signage, street trees including tree grates and structural soil; ornamental street lighting meeting the downtown standard which includes irrigation for hanging baskets.
