Description

The District of Clearwater (Owner) invites Proposals, through this Negotiated Request for Proposal (NRFP), from Proponents for the Water Metering Pilot Project.
The District of Clearwater is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced companies for the supply, installation and implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) on the water service connections within the service area. This effort is part of the Water Meter Pilot Project (Pilot) launched by the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs of British Columbia (Ministry) to promote water metering by providing funding for universal metering to selected water systems across British Columbia.
The primary drivers for the District of Clearwater’s Water Metering Program are to:

• Promote water conservation
• Evaluate more equitable utility billing
• Identify major leaks, potential cross-connection (back flow) and major users
• Delay major water infrastructure capacity upgrades resulting from high consumption
• Improve access to water usage information for customers regarding consumption, leakage and reverse flow.
