Transition to Employment Services (TES) provides comprehensive, in‑person, individualized supports, with a strong emphasis on job placement, to help unemployed and underemployed Albertans
acquire the workplace and occupation‑specific skills needed to re‑enter the workforce as quickly as possible. Participants receive targeted employment services, including Employment
Placement and Supports, Job Matching, Unpaid Work Experience along with essential job search techniques, interview preparation, résumé development, assessment of skill gaps, understanding
transferable skills, identifying the hidden job market, labour market research, employment lead generation, and direct placement activities. Supplementary Short Courses and Employment Readiness
supports are available to address occupational skill requirements and remove barriers by ensuring Participants have the tools and equipment needed to be job ready. TES uses structured
assessments to identify Participant needs and deliver tailored services, Employer‑engaged activities, short‑term training, and job maintenance supports that facilitate timely labour market
attachment and sustained employment. Proponents are expected to implement a range of marketing and outreach strategies to recruit eligible Participants throughout the duration of active service
delivery, engage Employers, and build partnerships with industry and professional associations. Proponents must also outline the methods, duration, frequency, anticipated costs, and any
adjustments that may be required to the aforementioned activities to mitigate risks such as low Participant flow, Employer recruitment challenges, and labour market fluctuations.
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals to provide the Transition to Employment Services program in several communities throughout Northern Alberta.
