Description

This RFP is for a contract that generally includes the design, supply and installation including commissioning and testing to replace the existing oil-filled transmission cable pumping plant at BC Hydro"s Terminal. BC Hydro will be offering an optional site visit for interested Proponents. Proponents are directed to review the Site Visit Notice protocol included with this RFP package for full details. This RFP utilizes a two‑step evaluation process.

Pursuant and subject to the terms of the above-noted RFP, Proponents (“Bidders”) are invited to attend an optional Site visit as follows:
Day 1 – March 9, 2026, NCT – noon PST
Day 2 – March 10, 2026, TXE and TXW – timing to be determined.
Day 3 – March 11, 2026, CCB – timing to be determined
*Tentative Date – to be confirmed five days prior to Day 1 depending on the registration by the Contact Person*
Site Location: NCT, TXE, TXW and CCB.
Site Meeting Place: Initial meeting place NCT Nile Creek Cable Terminal located on Island Hwy W
Pre-register for the Site Visit by emailing the Contact Person at least five days prior to the Site visit date. Include the name, title, employer, Bidder represented (if applicable), email and contact number of each attendee.

Delivery or completion date is October 2030.

This procurement may involve negotiation.
