City of Prince George (the “City) is seeking an experienced and qualified consulting firm to develop a long-term strategic Master Plan for City-owned Civic Facilities. The City’s vision and
mission describes a diverse, progressive, and vibrant provincial centre with accessible opportunities, a strong and stable economy and quality of life. In order to meet that vision and to build
a strong foundation for growth, Council’s Strategic Plan identifies the need for a Civic Facilities Master Plan. A renewal strategy was completed in 2019 for the City owned buildings, however
as time progresses, a new master plan is required to include renewal planning, City growth and development, climate mitigation/adaptation, and accessibility improvements. The Master Plan will
allow the City of Prince George to continue to provide services sustainably and offer a community where people can live, work, and play.
Key objectives include providing the City with a path forward for its civic facilities and what resources are needed over a 20-year horizon to continue to provide services with these assets and
allowing for informed conversations with Council, especially related to buildings that are close to the end of their useful lives or may not function as required.
This work will include onsite workshops with City staff and building tours.
This solicitation may lead to sequential or concurrent negotiations with one or more Proponents offering the most advantageous proposal(s), or to the creation of a Contract without
negotiations.
