Notice is hereby given that the Ministry of Citizens’ Services is contemplating issuing a contract extension for continued off-site records storage and related services to Iron Mountain
Canada Operations ULC (“Iron Mountain”).
The high-level details of the contemplated contract are generally described below.
The contract extension will apply to approximately 85,000 boxes of records maintained in existing accessions that are currently stored in Iron Mountain’s facilities in Greater Vancouver and
Kelowna (the “Existing Records”). The contract will not apply to any new record accessions created on or after March 31, 2026, except for ongoing accessions related to the Existing Records
already stored by Iron Mountain.
Iron Mountain currently holds a contract for new records storage services (excluding Vancouver Island) until March 31, 2026, pursuant to RFP ON-008887. The Province has issued a Request for
Proposals (ON # 222103) on BC Bid for the delivery of new records storage services, beginning April 1, 2026 for the Greater Vancouver area and the remainder of the province (excluding Vancouver
Island, which was the subject of a separate procurement in 2020).
