The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) seeks a consultant to develop a comprehensive and phased GIS strategic roadmap that addresses both current and future organizational needs. The
plan should consider data governance, workflows and processes, data management practices, technical infrastructure, and overall organizational capacity.
This engagement includes completing a detailed assessment of the SLRD’s existing GIS environment, identifying gaps, and recommending strategies aligned with industry best practices. The work
will also involve engaging with stakeholders to understand organizational priorities, operational requirements, and desired outcomes.
The consultant will assess the SLRD’s current GIS environment, including software usage, workflows, data storage, and data governance practices. The consultant will evaluate viable strategic
options to support both current and future service needs and develop clear recommendations aligned with industry best practices and organizational capacity. This work will include identifying
the advantages and disadvantages of alternative approaches and defining a recommended strategic direction to guide future GIS investment and implementation.
