Description

Island Health has issued this Request for Proposals for the purpose of inviting proposals from construction management firms to undertake services and construction for the addition of new operating room air handling units at Royal Jubilee Hospital D&T building. The project involves installation a new operating room supply air handling unit in the penthouse of the D&T building and an operating room exhaust air handling unit on the adjacent roof of the D&T penthouse and make the units fully operational. The work will require installation of a new slab, structural members, roofing, mechanical, electrical components and alteration to building envelope components. Addition of structural members on the roof will be required to receive the equipment. The air handling units are pre-purchased and will arrive on site, contractor to take ownership of the units and will be responsible for installation and commissioning with coordination of equipment manufacturer.
