Description

The purpose of this project is to repair/replace the building"s storm pipe system. This project should review findings from GOC604170 Inspection and Study of Storm Pipe. That study recommends significant replacement of aged and compromised sections of the existing piping system with either cast iron or XFR piping. Both have positive options to consider. Roof drain and riser pipes are made of transite materials and will need to be abated by a qualified Environmental Contractor as they are an asbestos-containing material (ACM). If cast iron piing is selected it is recommended that all cast iron pipe be insulated as it does not have the same insulation properties of transite pipes. The insulation will help to improve the life of the pipes.
