The Municipality of Colchester is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to research and develop a framework for Green Development Standards (GDS) for the Nova Scotia context and customize the template for Colchester County. The Green Development Standards will guide and incentivize sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon development within Colchester County. This project will also support knowledge sharing across Nova Scotia municipalities through collaboration with the Clean Foundation’s Community Climate Capacity Program. The project will equip Colchester County and other Nova Scotia municipalities with practical tools to integrate sustainability and climate adaptation into planning and development processes, with a focus on encouraging more energy-efficient, climate resilient homes.
