Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Atlantic First Nations Water Authority
(AFNWA) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Membertou First Nation
Wastewater Collection System - Repairs – Engineering Services as described in Schedule A.
The wastewater collection system in Membertou consists of approximately 16.5km of gravity
sewer (various sizes) and 175 manholes. The gravity sewer was videoed in 2025, and a number
of issues (leaks and/or damaged pipes) were identified. The AFNWA is looking to engage an
experienced and innovative engineering team who possesses the skills and experience required
to undertake the services outlined in this RFP. Proponents are expected to comprise a team
consisting of multi-disciplinary engineering professionals and support staff, who are experienced
in project administration, design and construction review of repairs to the wastewater collection
system and are licensed to carry out business in the Providence of Nova Scotia, Canada.
