Description

The Village of Tahsis invites proposals from qualified audit firms for the provision of External Audit Services for a five (5) year term, covering the 2025 through 2029 fiscal years, with an option to renew the engagement for an additional two (2) years (2030–2031) at the Village’s sole discretion.
The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to ensure that the Village receives high-quality, independent, and cost-effective audit services in compliance with Section 169 of the Community Charter. The audit must be conducted in accordance with Canadian Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
Due to Tahsis’ remote location, remote audit work is acceptable. All fieldwork must be completed by March 31 each year to allow sufficient time for reporting and Council review.
