The successful proponent will be responsible for delivering the signage and bwayfinding strategy for NHA, with a focus on enhancing navigation, accessibility, and cultural inclusivity across its facilities. While the scope is not limited to the items below, it must include the following core responsibilities:
• The primary objective is to establish a single, consistent signage standard for all Northern Health.
• This standard is for future application in new builds and major renovations.
• The primary deliverable will be a detailed signage guideline manual to ensure consistency across all sites, developed in collaboration with the communications department.
• Develop a signage and wayfinding strategy that reflects:
 Pictograms and universally recognizable icons.
 Color-coded zones and directional flow.
• Ensure all signage meets accessibility requirements for visibility, readability, and tactile support.
• The final deliverable from the consultant should be a package defining each sign type with visual mock-ups, dimensions, and a coding system.
• The standard must define material specifications for different types of signs.
• Interior signs are expected to have a design that allows for easy updates (e.g., a sleeve for employee names rather than printing directly on the sign, etc.).
