Description

This Notice of Proposed Procurement has been issued for information purposes only and represents known information at the time of issue. The City of Calgary (The City) makes no guarantee that this project will go forward, and it remains subject to change. No commitment, on the part of The City exists under this Notice of Proposed Procurement, and no competitive bid document or further information is currently available. As the project progresses, the competitive bid document will be posted electronically on The City"s Contract Management System (SAP Ariba) and on Alberta Purchasing Connection in accordance with The City’s standard practice.

Background

As part of The City’s asset management approach to existing facilities, The City plans to pilot an innovative and collaborative approach in partnership with private industry to retrofit a portfolio of City-owned public buildings. The project will use avoided energy costs from the improvements to fund the retrofit costs, using financing to bridge the timing difference between the initial capital investment and the future energy savings.
