Description

The District of North Vancouver (“the District”) invites submissions from experienced paving contractors interested in being prequalified to bid on the 2026 Road Paving and Related Works annual contract.

After prequalification, the District intends to invite a short-list of prequalified Respondents to bid on the formal tender for Road Paving and Related Works. The number of Respondents to be prequalified will depend on Submissions received, but is expected to be a short-list of contractors that the District judges, in its sole opinion, to have the best expertise, capabilities, and resources to successfully perform the work.

The scope of work will generally consist of paving works on municipal roadways (arterial, collector, local, lanes, and rural roads). This will include, but is not limited to:

• Cold milling of existing paved surface
• Full depth reclamation / full depth milling
• Replacing/adjusting manholes, watervalve boxes, and catchbasins to grade
• Pavement patching and repairs
• Asphalt paving (MMCD, Superpave, warm mix asphalt)
• Traffic management
• Grading and related work
• Emergency paving and repair work
