Description

The Faculty of Land and Food Systems (“LFS”) is seeking a Consultant to assist in developing a land stewardship and relationality framework for UBC Farm. This framework will be based on the principles of Indigenous land stewardship, decolonization, and agroecology. The Consultant will collaborate with key stakeholders and rightsholders, including leadership teams from LFS, the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (“SFS”), and the Centre for Indigenous Land-Based Education, Research, and Wellness at xʷc̓ic̓əsəm. Together, they will co-create a protocol for land-stweardship and relationality that emphasizes respect, reciprocity, sustainability, and Indigenous sovereignty in all relationships with the land and with one another.
