Description

Lethbridge County, is seeking an appropriate and qualified consultant to provide the County with engineering services for the Design, Contractor Procurement, Construction Supervision, Contract Administration, Post Construction and Warranty Inspection Services for four (4) separate locations for road rehabilitation within the County which have been identified for cement stabilization and double chip seal.

These four (4) existing roads are in poor condition and require continual maintenance through patching and crack sealing. Rehabilitation will reduce road maintenance costs and extend the life of the road. Signs of distress such as alligator cracking, longitudinal and transverse cracking, and oxidation are present throughout the project limits. Due to the poor condition of the roads, a permanent road ban is in place for all four (4) roads. It is the County’s intention to apply only a seasonal ban on these roads upon completion of this project. The intent of this project is to provide a cost-effective and durable roadway improvement through cement stabilization and double chip seal treatment of approximately 95,350m2 , enhancing safety, ride quality, and drainage (McNally Road only).
