This Notice of Intent (NOI) is issued by The Board of Education of School District No. 57 (Prince George) referred to as “SD57” here onwards to inform the supplier community of its intention to enter into a contract for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution without conducting a separate competitive procurement process.
SD57 wants to leverage a rigorous, transparent, and trade agreement- compliant procurement process undertaken by the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace (OECM) in 2022 on behalf of public education entities in another Canadian province. Edsembli was one of the pre-qualified proponents selected via this procurement process. Recently, Edsembli was acquired by the same company that purchased Sparkrock in June 2022 and merged the two into a single entity - Sparkrock Edsembli Inc. - and this is now reflected in OECM"s program and supporting the offering of both solutions [Edsembli and Sparkrock 365].
The purpose of this NOI is to ensure transparency and to give potential suppliers the opportunity to respond with a Statement of Capabilities if they believe they meet the requirements and can offer a comparable or superior solution under similar conditions.
