The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has provided a standardized Primary Inspection Line (PIL) booth design to the prime consultant. The new PIL booths will feature a bi-level configuration with dual exits, specifically designed to accommodate the inspection of taller vehicles such as semi-trucks. Each level will be equipped with functional workstations, including seating for personnel.

To facilitate the installation of the new booths and canopy, the existing PIL booths and canopy must be fully demolished. A temporary PIL booth must remain operational to ensure uninterrupted inspection services.

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15. A maximum of two representatives of each Bidder, or its authorized representatives, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS representative at the Port of Entry Carway, AB-2, Carway, T0K 1Y0 Carway, Alberta. *Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email, and on behalf of their authorized representatives including sub-contractors, to the procurement specialist (crystal.yan@bgis.com) by October 20, 2025 before 2PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s representative(s) being refused access to the site.* BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times. For mandatory site visits, Bidders are only required to attend one scheduled site visit to be eligible to bid. Bidders will be notified of any changes to the date of the site visit by Addenda. Bidders cannot use a representative from another Bidder as its authorized representative to attend the site visit.
