Description

The project is an initiative of Health Quality Alberta to obtain feedback from residents and families of residents of Type A and Type B Continuing Care Homes (CCH), about the quality of care and services residents receive. This feedback is used to describe the current state of CCH from the perspective of residents and their families and to provide CCH and other health system partners with information that can be used for ongoing monitoring and improvement.

This feedback is captured through Health Quality Alberta’s Continuing Care Homes Resident and Family Experience Surveys. Trained survey interviewers, hired and managed by the vendor, will conduct face-to-face interviews with residents in CCH across Alberta. A self-administered paper survey will also be distributed by the survey interviewers for residents who are able to complete one. The vendor will also conduct a web survey (self-administered) of families of residents living in CCH in Alberta. This survey protocol includes a 3-stage mail survey for family members who do not have an email address. Health Quality Alberta is seeking a vendor to oversee the data collection of the resident and family experience surveys.

Part II – CCH Resident Experience Survey
