The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has identified the need to upgrade and expand its existing first aid facilities to ensure compliance with current WorkSafeBC requirements. The current first aid room is limited in size and capacity, accommodating only one treatment bed and two attendants, and therefore does not adequately support the Institute’s health and safety obligations.
