Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) intends to extend the contract with DCYT Architecture Inc. for prime consultant services for Minoru Residence Renovation Project. The specific phases are;
The additional contract value is $178,234.00 with $241,360.00 completed for the maximum contract value of $419,594.00 - plus tax. VCH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP)
process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
• DCYT Architecture Inc. has been providing prime consulting services for the project since April 2023.
• DCYT Architecture Inc. has completed the original design for the project. Continuing with them for design modifications arising from site conditions encountered during construction helps
maintain consistency, avoids potential gaps in responsibility, and reduces liability risks that could result from involving a new party.
• DCYT Architecture Inc. has established working relationships with the VCH project team and the contractor’s team, including its 3rd parties and affiliates.
• DCYT Architecture Inc. has extensive knowledge of project scope conditions at the Minoru project site.
• DCYT Architecture Inc. has already completed a preceding scope of work with significant relevance to ongoing activities. This includes reviewing the contractor’s progress payment reports
and design submissions and providing comments accordingly. Part of this additional scope will be to see the issues raised through to resolution and completion of the project.
• DCYT Architecture Inc. maintains a seniority level: Expert, as required by the project.
Phase 3, 4, and 5 – Grease Interceptor, Temporary Dishwasher, and Permanent Dishwasher Contract Administration
