• This Request for Information (“RFI”), is issued by His Majesty the King in right of Ontario as represented by the Ministry of Education “the Ministry”, for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. Suppliers are asked to respond to the Ministry and provide the information requested below.
• Scope of Work
  The Ministry is responsible for the administration of four (4) Provincial and three (3) Demonstration Schools across four geographical locations (Belleville, Milton, London, Brantford) to provide learning and education services for students who have severe learning disabilities or are Deaf/hard of hearing; blind, low vision or Deaf /blind. The Provincial and Demonstration School Branch (PDSB) oversees the policies and operation of the schools. In addition, the schools provide student lodging facilities for the students. The PDSB student lodging program is available to provincial and demonstration schools students residing over 115 kms or 70 minutes from the school from Monday to Friday.
  
  Students attending student lodging programs at these schools are transported twice on a weekly basis: once from home to the school on Sunday night and once from the school back home on the Friday. There may be some Tuesday morning travel after a long weekend or mid-week travel home due to statutory holidays, Professional Activity (PA) days or weather issues.
  
  The key objective of the student transportation services is to provide students with weekly transportation by car or small vehicle to drop off/pick-up locations throughout the province to connect with School Bus Transportation Services provided by the Ministry
