Description

The Town of Mahone Bay is seeking Proposals from qualified Proponents to convert the Town Hall front parking lot to an accessible hardscaped/softscape area that will continue to maintain access to both the first floor entrances. The project will also add a street crossing (crosswalk) from this new area to the adjacent Main St sidewalk that will require the installation of two(2) Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB). The Town will be supplying the RRFB’s and installation hardware.

The main purposes of this project are to:

- Convert the front parking lot to a hardscape/softscape area as per the Scope of Work while conforming to the CSA B651:23 Accessibility Design for the Built Environment.
- Installation of a crosswalk with RRFB’s to obtain a safe pedestrian crossing to the adjacent Main Street sidewalk while conforming to the CSA B651:23 Accessibility Design for the Built Environment.

A compulsory pre-tender site visit will be held at 493 Main Street, Mahone Bay on Sept 18th, 2025 at 2:00pm.
