Description

Alberta Forestry and Parks - Parks Division (“Alberta Parks”) is seeking a business entity or non-profit organization or Proponent Team to operate and maintain the Pembina River Provincial Park

Alberta Parks’ project objectives are:
• To inspire people to discover, value, protect, and enjoy the natural world and the benefits it provides for current and future generations in compliance with park management plan(s) and the goals and objectives of Alberta Parks;
• To encourage private sector interest and opportunities in the provincial parks system and, in so doing, also support Alberta’s local economy;
• To collaborate with businesses and organizations to provide memorable experiences to visitors through safe, high quality outdoor recreation opportunities and facilities; and,
• To provide a variety of services in an efficient, cost-effective, consistent, and customer-oriented manner while meeting conservation goals to protect sensitive landscapes.

Under an FOA, the Operator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with running the facilities covered by the agreement, both those from which they generate revenue (campgrounds) and those from which they do not generate revenue (day use areas). This includes ongoing routine maintenance and repairs to infrastructure.
