Northern Health Authority (Northern Health) has received business plan approval for a new Fort St. John Long-Term Care Facility and an expansion to the existing food services area at the Fort
St John Hospital (the Project). The new facility will comprise of 84 new single-bedroom beds for long-term care, a 30-space adult day program with social and recreational spaces, a range of
support spaces and 62 new surface parking stalls. It is anticipated the new facility will be a four-storey concrete and steel building, approximately 11,200 m2 in size, and will meet LEED®
Gold requirements. The Project will be constructed on the Fort St. John Hospital site adjacent to, and interconnected, with the existing Peace Villa Long-Term Care Facility (Peace Villa)
through a passageway. The new facility will rely on the food and laundry services that already support the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa. The Project will follow a traditional
Design-Build (DB) procurement model. The Project is expected to improve health outcomes in the Northeast Health Services Delivery Area and support surrounding communities.
Northern Health has engaged Infrastructure BC Inc. (Infrastructure BC) to manage the Advisor Selection Process for this Project. Infrastructure BC supports the public sector by working with
owners to deliver complex public infrastructure in an evolving world.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to invite Proposals from qualified and experienced teams to submit Proposals to provide Facility Consultant Advisory Services in connection
with the development of the Project
