The City of Prince Rupert has committed to upgrading and replacing most of the aged water & sewer infrastructure within the community. As this infrastructure reaches the end of its service life, the City seeks an Engineering Consultant to provide design services based on a set of work packages developed by the City and their Owner’s Engineer, Associated Engineering (AE). The main objectives of the project are to:

• Replace water infrastructure in failing areas to bolster resiliency in the system
• Improve sewer infrastructure by separating storm and sewer utilities
• Renew related road surfaces and structures
• Minimize disruption to the community
• Begin construction on at least one corridor by April of 2026
• Issue all construction procurement packages for bid by September 2026
