Fredericton is well known for its tree canopy that includes over 80 species. Our urban forest consists of thousands of trees, with a great diversity of species, found along city streets, in parks and green spaces, and on private properties. Changes in temperature, unpredictable rain and snow, extreme storms, and the spread of invasive species like the Emerald ash borer threaten the health of Fredericton"s urban forests and green spaces.
15.0 Specifications
The proposed plant material must meet or exceed the following mandatory minimum requirements in order to be accepted and evaluated:
If the products proposed do not meet the specifications below, the proposal may be rejected. It is required that the Bidder check with the Procurement Officer if the products do not meet any of the specified criteria in order to get confirmation whether the Bid can still be accepted and evaluated or not. After proposal submissions, and in the event of the products proposed are not compliant with any of the specifications criteria, The Local Government will be the sole judge as to what
constitutes a minor deviation in which case the proposal will still be accepted; or what is considered a major deviation which constitutes a rejection of Proponent Proposal.
