Alberta Parks is seeking a qualified consulting team to provide professional engineering services for the re-establishment of the Lost Creek crossing. The scope of work includes conducting a
comprehensive field assessment and delivering recommendations for the most suitable and sustainable bridge location and design. Consultants will assess multiple crossing options that consider
changes in terrain and hydrology, and, if a new bridge location is required, recommend associated trail realignments to optimize safety, constructability, and long-term durability.
Key project deliverables include:
• Identification and evaluation of feasible crossing locations;
• Geotechnical investigations to support abutment and foundation design;
• Hydrological and hydraulic modelling to inform bridge sizing and positioning;
• Preliminary and detailed bridge design drawings and specifications;
• Regulatory submissions, including environmental approvals and technical studies (e.g., fisheries assessments, Historical Resources Application, and other field surveys as required);
• Construction-ready drawings and tender documents; and • Construction phase support and administration.
